Gimpel Software offers several customer support options:

When contacting technical support, please include as much detail as possible. If appropriate, provide us with a small program to illustrate your question.

If you think you have found a bug, in most cases we need to be able to reproduce the bug before we can fix it. Please provide us the following:

  • A small but complete code sample to show the problem.
  • The complete output of PC-lint Plus, including the banner line.
  • The full command used to invoke PC-lint Plus and any relevant configuration files.
  • If you have many #include files, use the -p option to get preprocessed code; run that through PC-lint Plus to make sure you can reproduce the problem, then email us the preprocessed code.
  • If possible, make sure that you are using the latest version of PC-lint Plus the corresponding .lnt files.
